So they do an emmsions test, or just check to see if the cat is hot?

I might just make some metal restricor plates and steel wool and that should quiet her down nicely.

ALso im not sure whether a strut brace is illegal, however i might just take it off so they dont pick on it.

Pleaaaaase dont remind me about regency. nightmare

to pass my windows ALLLL the tint had to come off. (even factory) and to get my exhaust through I had to stuff a shitheap of steel wool in there and make metal plates at intervals through the pipe .  Not to mention all the other parts that had to come off which basically left it a rolling shell... They obviously are not too bright.  How can a 4 inch exhaust make 40 db ? I'll show ya!  I then took a day off work and waited 6.5 hours while they had the nerve to tell me to hurry up.

Regency change the rules practically every week so I would not be too fussed about it guys.

hahaha didn't the steel wool catch on fire as you drove off? bahahahahahaha :bahaha: :bahaha: :bahaha:

Time of the month mel? rofl.

nah just thought it was funny, not being nasty at all chickito

don't worry when they took my car for a test drive at regency, the airbox was in so tight it squished the pipe up too much and when the car hit boost it wasn't gettin enough air, hence, the car was almost bunny hoppping down the road and the regency guy is just looking at me like, umm, what the hell. I'm like " uh yeah it hasn't got much petrol in it"

    • I found the same with Subaru’s.  I own and love the SG9 Forester, after that model 2008+, Subaru threw the ugly stick at all their line up and somehow managed to make them look worse with every succeeding year.  lol
    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
