R32 Gtr Oil Temp Gauge

Hey all,

The Oil Temperature gauge in my gtr center cluster is not reading anything.

It hasn't been working forever, and I was wondering if someone could tell me where abouts the sensor on the engine is, or if anyone else has had this problem and found a solution.

Car had an engine transplant, I am assuming/hoping that it just wasn't plugged in again

Its on the oil cooler housing between the block & the oil filter.

That is hooked up, spose that means faulty gauge or sender yeah!

doesn't the gauge start at 70o? might just be running colder than that?

Mine usually needs to be driven for it to come up, even then needs to fanged out on a hot day for it to get past 90deg (though this is on a RB20DET)

sorry to nick your thread but how accurate are these gauges as i installed another and i was getting about 30 degrees difference between the two gauges.
