Water Temp Sender In R34

Hi, just got some autogauges, including the electrical water temp one.

After searching i've learnt that to fit the sender, an adaptor needs to be fitted to the top radiator hose going from the block to the radiator (is this right?)

1. Has anyone got a pic of this done on an R34 (or a 33 if its the same size fittings)?

2. Will this adaptor work?

And just another question about the oil temp sender and sandwich plate;

3. If I only plug in an oil temp sender, do i need to block the other sender hole (for oil pressure) off?

Sorry if these are stupid questions.
