n15m0
Most tyre places will be able to do a decent wheel balance but for a proper wheel allignment, I use : Accurate Suspension Services 2/ 9 Timms Crt Woodridge 4114 (07) 3808 2878 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/172181-where-is-a-good-place-for-wheel-alignment-and-wheel-balance/#findComment-3170790 Share on other sites

Green_s13
I have found the guys at bridgstone at cleveland are good, if you tell them what you use the car for they seem to make the right changes Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/172181-where-is-a-good-place-for-wheel-alignment-and-wheel-balance/#findComment-3172258 Share on other sites
Col-GTSX
My last allignment was conducted by "Tyrepower" at Geebung... Usually I would use Fulcrum however at the time they were busy and could not service me that week... So I tryed Tyrepower and they were pretty good, I had un-even tyre wear before visiting them and they fixed up that issue Anyone with a decent modern wheel alingment machine can do a good job. Its really only when you want track proven race setups that you need to get specific with wheel aligners and machine operators... psi
Hmm, I may live in humble little gympie town, but I can assure you that the laser aligners are not all they are cracked up to be! How do I kow? Well, My father in law has been running his own Suspension shop for just over 20years! He has been in the suspension game for just on 30 years! He has now handed the shop over to his oldest son. Both of them have raced cars. Lots of them! lots of races, lots of wins! The cars were not powerful, just a very well thought out suspension and wheel alignment! Both of them do not like or use the laser! They both prefer the old projector style unit(which is VERY old!). If there is a car in town that has been in an accident, or the other guys cant get right, they send it to my inlaws. Now my father in law is a quiet sort of a guy, but he will gladly give you a serve if you think the laser is best! the second issue that usually arises with alignments is accidents! some shops don't check that the car is square. These sorts of shops will generally only give the car (your car) what ever specs the book says. They don't take into account your driving style, the rim offset, tyre pressures and other subtle things that upset the vehilce, which in turn upset the tyre wear. bent arms or worn bushes.. you get my point. EVERY car unique. Now if you have coil overs.. Man don't get me started! Don't waste your time looking for lasers, look for a shop that goes racing! They should be way ahead of the rest! If they don't sponsor cars that race, and or have their own race cars, walk away! Good Old Knowledge with old tools will always beat crap knowledge with technolgy Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/172181-where-is-a-good-place-for-wheel-alignment-and-wheel-balance/#findComment-3174603 Share on other sites

Triptych
Alright just got the car back from getting the wheel allignment and balance done. Ken was great guy he even pointed out some problems with the car for me to look into. All up it was $105 for the wheel allignment and all 4 wheels balanced. I will be using him in the future and can't say enough good things about him. apcarbon
Seems like lots of Fulcrum (the one in Fairfield road?) and Accurate Suspension Services votes what about the price (reasonable) in nowadays? Smity42
Another vote for Ken @ Accurate Suspension Services Or Jax Quickfit at Bowen Hills (I can't vouch for any of the other ones). Just make sure to ask for someone who knows what they are doing (theres a couple of guys there that a real wizards), or it may get done by an apprentice. Or Roy @ Bosman Wholesale Tyres (Archerfield) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/172181-where-is-a-good-place-for-wheel-alignment-and-wheel-balance/#findComment-4987596 Share on other sites
