Parking On Public Holidays

As you all know, unis are fricken open on public holidays which means some of us need to study and work.

Surely the free car park was closed this morning, so the only thing I could find for "free" were nearby houses that have the "1/2 parking Mon_Fri 8am-6pm" signs.

Do these apply for public holidays? My innitial thoughts are "no they dont?"

my guess is they wont apply for public holidays as well...but you never know....

i dont know about other uni's but during exams monash uni has the "blue" permit and car pool areas for free parking - check if your uni does that too

Im at Monash dude. I thought you need that blue sticky thing to park in those areas?

nah not during exams...i have parked there heaps of times. Unless they changed the rule now....but when you enter monash, it should say "blue areas are free" or something.

Only need the red/yellow permits for the staff areas......

Im at Monash dude. I thought you need that blue sticky thing to park in those areas?

The blue parking permits apply during semester, double check with the traffic group there but as for out-of-uni days they are free parking for anyone

I used to park in those zones during exam time and blue was free
