Seeing they won't post my reply. I'll post it here :laughing-smiley-014:

Daryl,

You can read my email and cross reference my user name on other forums, congratulations!

In terms of Garry’s behaviour out side the skid plan complex, you guys seem to know who, what and when people play up out there. I only assumed you knew, in regards to why it wasn’t brought up pervious, was due to it only happening at the last event.

I was referring to the VS commodore speedway car, not the Escort.

It appears you think I was the driver of one of the black R32s? Or even competing at the event? I was a spectator. I left shortly after the trophies were given out. I was not aware of ANY SKIDS at the end of the day, as I wasn’t there. I have spoken to both the R32 drivers and the have admitted to spinning the wheels, due to the wet grass and heavier clutch’s, they weren’t intentional – Again I wasn’t there simply relaying what I have been told today.

The father of the guy in the quick black R32 was there and competing in his mini, and has told me he did not see either of the R32’s “kick it out” when leaving, but the wheels had spun..

You had said a skid was left LEAVING the skidpan, I was referring to actually leaving the pan and onto the ring road, not the complex its self.

If you have so many witnesses of skids are the other guys who spun up the grass being reprimanded? The Purple R31, Blue 180sx and the Maroon R32 come to mind.

I appreciate the time and effort you and the volunteer’s do put in, I have been involved with running events my self, including the Noosa Hill Climb, however these time errors at your event have happened more then once. Being a CAMS affiliated event I had of thought you would be following closer to how other Motorkhana are run.

The time board wasn’t on display, which it should have been and when a discrepancy was made it was totally ignored. We are all at a loss how the black R32 was 20 seconds behind at the end of the day, when no cones were knocked down. A simple please explain and a simple answer was all that was needed.

Prime example was the third or forth last track, Ashleigh had stated it was done perfect, and it was done in 56.xx, yet the time card Rob had done had 61.xx, with the 5 that was changed into a 6.. Another miss-hap example was at one of the last events, last year – Garry was placed first in the 6 cylinder class, yet he was running a 4 cylinder 180sx on the day.

In relation to questioning my driving ability and me saying Garry is beating me is total crap, I wasn’t competing on the weekend, nor have since I’ve started to come along with the Noosa crew. My driving credential is more then ample. I’m an active member in the Porsche car club and compete in club level motor sport events be it with the Porsche club or open events in a 911 C2 and before that in a RUF 911. I’m more then happy to see how I go at your Motorkhana’s when I have my license back, as I’m under the impression I can only compete with a current drivers license.

I have also been an active volunteer in assisting motor sports events and was originally involved with my father, the Noosa Beach Car Club and the HRCC in making the Noosa hill climb happen.

I have spoken to my father’s solicitor, and he has seen this thread. I won’t be re-removing ANYTHING from my posts, as questioning the ability of timing and “penmanship” in writing along with suggesting cheating within a motor sport event in reality won’t really fall under what the legal system will take serious and is debatable just how bad it will harm a ones reputation. I will however make an apology to Ashleigh as what I said wasn’t called for, nor needed to be said.

By all means sue me for slander & defamation, you won’t be the first nor last. I’ve been sued and have sued for the same, it goes nowhere real quick and as a non-profit car club I question the clubs financial position with being able to keep throwing money at solicitors for something pitiful and trivial.

You would be completely wrong about my pathetic ranting & sulking on the subject of my career choice. I was a project developer and marketer for Century 21 for some years and then moved onto a Brisbane CBD firm.

Not only was I employed to do this by a firm; I also invest my own money in small developments in my own time in conjunction with my family. My profile never said I was a stockbroker, it said stock broking which I also have money involved with as well. My personal financial situation shouldn’t really be relevant not a concern in this matter how ever.

I admit I went the wrong way about voicing my views and opinion on this matter, however it needed to be said (just in a better way).

- Josh

What a little bitch the Admin is on that site, the thread has been set to mod review before posting, for everyone it appears. Oh well, I'll just contact his car club sponsor's today and have a moan about how un ethical his club is.

    • Yep, that was one of the things we learned fast in the past with our MX5. When you drive with the top down, you are effectively standing out in the sun, 100% of the time, and not getting in any shade (because roads aren't shaded generally!). Just like standing out in the middle of a field on a sunny 27C day is a bit of a bad plan, so is sitting in a MX5 without sun protection.
    • I also just ordered some Frankenstein bolts and side mounts to fit a hard top Just in case I do find one, basically so it doesn't need to be fixed to the car with only the front latch.......and then gaffa tape to keep it in place for the RTN journey from wherever I get it
    • If your temps are fine now, you probably won't have any issues with where your vents are as they don't look right up at the windscreens high pressure area, so any differences when giving it the beans for extended happy laps would be minimal, but, they should vent heaps when stuck in traffic  Much like how that reverse cowl on my SS let "visible" heat out when stationary, but, because it was basically at the windscreen my coolant temps on the Hwy actually raised because air was being fed into it at speed (110kph), to only come back down to around 90° when I got off the Hwy And your 100% correct about the NC currently not needing vents, but, if I was to add a turbo, and a oil cooler and intercooler in front of the condenserand radiator, and then take it to the track???? It is apparently a recommend requirement if I don't want to worry about coolant or oil temp issues, but, any of the above are possible scenarios, over time As it sits now, with the triple pass radiator and stock air conditioning system, I have absolutely no issues with either temps or air conditioning efficiency, I've been basically daily driving thie car for the last month, both on the Hwy, and peak hour, bumper to bumper traffic, but, that's pretty much expected from basically a standard engine  Talking about no issues daily driving, it was 39° the other day and I was sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on the M5 and then M7, with the top down, and with the air conditioning blowing nice cold air on my feet, balls, and face, well, there was one issue, my head and arms got pretty sun burnt Note to self: leave a hat and sunscreen in the car for such days 🤣
    • I would agree, unless you need something specific to the HV motor/battery side repaired or investigated, any mechanic will be able to perform normal services, but if you prefer, maybe look for a mechanic who regularly services/repairs Nissans, the VQ engines are pretty common in the Nissan lineup.  Sorry, I can't make any suggestions, I don't live in Vic.
    • Some of them keep working fine. 9 out of 10 of them end up causing an absolute misery bleeding the system and get thrown on the workshop floor in a tantrum and never thought about again because they were never really needed and just added crap to the car that we could have done without. Same-same with HICAS, A-LSD, and various other stupidities that over eager 10x engineers thought we had to have.
