Hi,

I have a 32 gtst with just 3" exhaust from turbo. Found out today that the previous owner had put a piece of metal over the plate between BOV and intake, effectively making it no BOV. I removed this and gasketed it up(at least I think its fine) because it was stalling occasionally when slowing down for lights. Previously on full boost it would peak for a second at just over 0.7bar, now it only peaks at dead on 0.7. I know that the 32 standard boost is only 10 psi but should it be slightly higher due to the exhaust? Should I try regasketing the BOV in case there is a slight leak?

Street cars should use a BOV. This has been proven time and time again but someone will argue against it I`m sure.If you can afford to rebuild your turbo more often then plug it back up.
