Sandrino's - itallian wood fire pizza place realllllly good food. kinda pricey tho http://www.yourrestaurants.com.au/guide/sa...e_and_pizzeria/

Ruocco's - woodfire pizza place - they do other food but apparently they regular meals arent that great, just the pizza's. they do take out pizza too http://www.yourrestaurants.com.au/guide/ruoccos/

Pizza BellaRoma - they do nice pizza but it isnt woodfired. kinda cheap prices and its BYO. no bookings, you just have to line up.

Armano Pannini - ice cream place. they do amazing ice cream and really good coffee.

seaview pub - they do curry on a wednesday night but every other night its normal food. their fish n chips are good! http://www.seaview.theguide.com.au/

Subiaco

Wagamama's - japanese noodle bar style. big tables and numbered menus. my fave is the chicken karre lomen.. but the service aint that great. not everyone on the table will get their meal at the same time, its like as its made its brought to you kinda thing. http://www.wagamama.com.au/

Woodpeckers Woodfire Pizza - apparently good, my friend goes there but i havent been yet.

Leederville

Sienna's - they have cheaper nights on mon, tues and wed. where pizza is like 9 bucks and chilli muscells are about 15 bucks i think. good food, but it books out fast so best to call ahead.

Claremont

Pronto - they dont take bookings, you have to go and just wait for a table. good food, good service. http://www.yourrestaurants.com.au/guide/pronto/

dont go to belissimo - worst service ever

South Perth

COCO's - very expensive but very nice food. http://www.cocosperth.com/

West Perth

Perugino's - for 45 bucks at lunch you get a set meal (starter and main) desert is extra but very well worth it. i went with work a few weeks ago =] http://www.perugino.com.au/contact.htm

thats all for now =]

The ONLY restaurant I bother going to nowadays (been stung by so many places - especially Italian restaurants run by Indian people..) is the Capri on South Tce in Freo.. small homely restaurant, nothing flash to look at but the best italian food this side of the mediterranean! Actually headed there tomorrow night.. hanging out for the veal parmigianna and some kalamari fritti ;)

Capri? has that place been open since like forever? that use to be the family favourite when i was a kiddy i think.

Coco's is over rated, still they do a decent steak.

havent tried waggamommas yet but have heard good things, same with "spaggis "in south perth though ive heard thats good too.

would actually qualify for my banlist imo. but each to their own >_<

yeah they dissapoint me sometimes, but i like the chilli squid entre and the sweet potatoe crisp things. and karre lomen.. mmmm karre lomen.

but yes the service is crap. you have to keep asking for drinks and you dont get your meals all at the same time. and more often than not, wagamamma gives you a funny tummy afterwards =[

I think that thing where you get your food as its cooked is a culture thing. Asian's tend to do it that way while us westerners will hold on to it till all dishes are ready. kinda ticks you off some times i know.

I'm wanting to go to Divido in Mt Hawthorn (Scarborough Beach Rd), a mate of mine is the manager there. I've seen the menu & wine list & it looks quite good. Might have to find a lady to take there before I go there though :D

curry shop in freo across the road form jesters and bobs shoe shop awesome curry but expencive and small portions.

FLIPSIDE burger bar freo yet to try it but my mouth is salavating just thinking about it had a good write up in the local paper not open on a few days of the week though. :)

+1 for Wagamamas, love the sweet potato crisps. I've never had a bad experience there, but yeah bringing out the meals seperately can annoy you if someone gets their food before you and you're super hungry.

I'm also a fan of the Hog's Breath Cafe in Joondalup which seems like ages away from me but it's worth it. There's one in Northbridge I think but have never tried it.

Hogs breath in Northbridge got my thumbs up about 6 months ago, but I haven't been there since.

Their deep fried camembert cheese and cranberry dipping sauce entree is "the shizz" but not really healthy

    • Hi everyone, I'm generally new to DIY projects, and I've browsed this forum and watched a lot of youtube videos but still have a few questions   Firstly, how does spray painting interior hold up? in particular like vinyl parts, my current mode of thinking is to use methyl spirits to take off original paint, clean/prep well, light coats, no primer or clear coat    Secondly, what is recommended for the headliner and, for example (my car is a r34), the A-pillars which are some kind of other fabric material, do you think I would be successful at retrimming these? or would it be better to go down the blacking out via Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric Paint    Any other advice / tips / tricks for refreshing/modernising these interiors?    Thanks

    • Just note that when trying to find a short in a globe power supply, it is best to disconnect the globe as it will allow current through to earth. With it unplugged it is easier not to get confused. Also with the r32 wiring, the high beam has 2 power supplies (one when you push the switch forward and the other when you temporarily pull it back; so if it is the high beam blowing you will need to trace both circuits

    • That's a short. Find the short. It will be somewhere between that fuse and the headlight. Start by removing the plugs from the back of the headlight and dimmer switches, and measure resistance to earth. Supply side (power from the fuse) should have none. The other side should have resistance compatible with whatever globe(s) is there (which is relatively easy to say for a normal globe, perhaps not as easy to say for LEDs). Anyway, if you have very low resistance, you defo have a short. Then you just have to run the wiring like you're running the bowel of a dog (on the operating table) that has swallowed something it wasn't supposed to.
