GMan
hi all, on the weekends, which most of you may know living in NSW it was very very windy and rainy. what made things worse is that after work at about 11pm my car wouldnt start up. things which i had already checked is the battery, air lines, afm and fuses. wouldnt think it is the spark plugs as they were only changed not long ago. basically the car keeps on kicking over. also checked sensor and was connected. anyone has any other suggestions?? things i think are maybe the fuel pump or fuel relay but not too sure... 700HP-GTR33
Did you check if you had petrol..lol. Could be your pump...is there any noise coming from it when you switch the ignition to before crank? good luck... Slim Mat
Hey, Check all you fuses, under the dash and in the engine bay, replace all that are blown. Check for fuel, pressure and injector pulse, should smell fuelly after cranking for a little while. Check battery voltage is high enough, should be if it is cranking fastly, if slowly, charge your battery. Check for spark at all of the spark plugs. Make sure any immobilisers are disarming. Further than this you will really need a workshop. GMan
Did you check if you had petrol..lol.Could be your pump...is there any noise coming from it when you switch the ignition to before crank? good luck... yea when its switched to on it makes like a bit of a whirling noise. there is a full tank sometimes the noise disappears but when i put throttle down to like 20% it comes back on but only when it is at 20% and nothing else...if that made any sense lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/172551-some-problems-wont-start/#findComment-3178480 Share on other sites
MBS206
Sounds like you have water in a connector somewhere. Yes it does happen, especially after heavy rain Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/172551-some-problems-wont-start/#findComment-3178540 Share on other sites

RANDY
When you checked your AFM... how did you check it? Quick test is to unplug it, then try to start it with about 50% throttle. If it catches but barely runs then you have the old "dead AFM for no apparent reason" problem. A mate had this, but when I hooked up Consult to it, it said that the AFM was reading voltage. No errors or anything. Weird! Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/172551-some-problems-wont-start/#findComment-3180928 Share on other sites
