hey all, ive got a mate whos planning on going overseas for a while. he owns a '89 r32 gts-t and is looking to get rid of it.

problem is the engine is gone, spun a bearing he thinks but it warrants a new engine from what ive heard, just curious on how much it would be worth if he tried to sell it as is.

its a nice straight car, stock other than a pod/exhaust and a mechanical lsd. also an alarm + nice sound system too. the kind you see going for around the 10k mark with a working engine. ive searched the 'for sale' forums for him but all the shells there are missing a fair few parts or theyre not registrable.

looking for an approximate of how much its worth atm

all input greatly appreciated!

Well my mates apprentice recently bought an R32 4dr in Perth for $6k for a busted head and the top end in pieces.. ended up costing $150 to fix the head and now it goes sweet. Came with coilovers, cat back, GTR front bar and a nice paint job.

if you got a bit of time and some spare garage space it doesnt take too long at all. Ive swapped an engine in my s13 took 2 weekends jus doing it in my spare time. Jus label everything before you pull it off, its not as complicated as you might think.

A workshop would prolly charge you around the 1k mark to do a swap (obviously price depends on where u get it done)

I'm with 32line, a gtst with no motor is worth no more than $2k. I paid $4k for the last GTR shell I bought.

Sorry if thats not what you wanted to hear but they arent worth much - about the only person who needs a 32gstt without a motor is someone building a race car from scratch.

best bet is to put the cheapest motor you can find in it
