Hi guys,

As per topic, been told my subframe bushes are shagged. The suggestion was to bang in pineapples. Just wondering if this is a 'band-aid' fix, or a good solution. I did a seach and there is a few little conflicting things, so thought I would ask directly. Some people seemed to be saying pineapples are good if the subframe bushes ARE good.

I dont mind replacing the subframe bushes if thats whats required, just wanted to check tho. Any suggestions on which pineapples/subframe bushes would be appreciated too!

Cheers,

Dan :)

its a band aid fix that actually works just as well. The cradle bushes in our race car below are shot but the pineapples (decent ones) have done the job fine for over 3 years even with the tortuous abuse. They actually give less deflection than the new nismo items i put in the GTR (big waste of time and cash) and the both have exactly the same amount of NVH.

Sweet. It was actually CREATD that told me that, they getting the pineapples for me too. I didnt mention at first in case it was wrong, didnt wanna bad-name some1. I notice you mention CREATD alot! I live not far from them (and happen to also work on Sydney Rd), we should organize a cruise sometime soon! (that is if you are there like I think you are...lol)

Cheers again mate!

Dan :)

I have had pineapples in my GTR for more then 4 years with no probs, I don't think they where made as a band aid fix but more to hold the subframe still under cornering to give a better feel on the track ( without having to go to the expense of fitting nolethane bushes) and depending on how you fit them can change the feel of your car and give you more "squat" and in turn give more traction. :(
