This was an option of some sort that my car came with. It looks cool but only goes with auto, not with manual dashes and since I have now converted to manual I dont need it, despite how much I love it.

Yeah I don't know if it is carbon fibre or just made to look like it. Probably the latter but you can't touch when it's installed anyway cos you have the clear plastic cover.

It's also got those chrome rings which are unusual.

Yeah i've got the same, carbon fibre with the chrome surrounds in mine, but mine's manual.
