hey guys...

starting to plan for when my stock RB20 turbo goes pop... I know the R33 series 2 turbo's are bolt on and steel wheels (can handle more boost then the ceramic wheels)... wats the difference between the series 2 turbo and the 34 Neo turbo (cause i was told this would be a good upgrade to) ?

any info would be great

Cheers guys

Trav

no the series 2 turbos cant handle more boost because it has a ceramic exhaust wheel and a plastic ( or some sort of shit other than metal) inlet wheel. the neo turbo i believe is bigger not heaps but abit more

R33 S1 is steel front, ceramic rear

R33 S2 is nylon front, ceramic rear

R34 is nylon front, ceramic rear

nylon wheel spools up a bit quicker.. but max on all of them is about 12-14psi..

ive heard of turbo's dieing at 10psi, and then i had mine running ~13psi for 3 years without a problem.

sorry that was a typo above meant to read 12psi & 14Psi Max...

got a mate running a 25 turbo of some sort on his RB20 in his 180 and it made 250ish rwhp which is all im really looking for cause its a daily with a few drift nights & days for good measure so i dont want anything to crazy or silly to drive in peak hour taffic...
