I've installed this HKS Electronic Idle Stabiliser (EIDS) type H1 as I have a HKS SSQ BOV.

I'm pretty sure I installed it properly double checked it.

In the manual the AFM cutout Cramp Adjustment should be turned all the way down (counter-clockwise)

and the Air Flow Metre adjustment should sit one setting off the centre turned counter-clockwise (40%)

its not stalling driving it hard but from full stop then 1st gear and move 2-3 metres and stop will stall straight away its not even driven hard.

tried setting it on different settings and the above setting was the best.

also found this install write-up and not clear with this step... I tried revving it but it didnt change the slow down speed always around 1200rpm on mine cant get it to go higher so the idle goes down slowly and wont stall.

" Idle rev. While in neutral, rev the car a few times, going higher and higher in RPMs as you adjust the knob. Remember: the adjustment knob is VERY sensitive to change, so tune MINUTE-LY ("fine-tune"). When you get around a good spot, you'll notice your EIDS will slow the RPM drop around 1500 RPMs. This is good, as this is what it's designed to do to prevent stalling. "

Anyone had experience with this IEDS???

I know the issue you get when you install an atmo BOV but I'm trying to make it work as it should work properly or bearable.

As I'm using an electronic idle stabiliser from HKS and using HKS bov, and I've searched online that there's a lot of success rate from installing this combo.

But not much help on actually tuning it.

So please if anyone's got any idea do post on this thread.

if you're just going to tell me to put the stock bov make your own thread.

Just double checking on the HKS EIDS manual ORANGE wire for TPS signal is supposed to be connected to pin 38 which according to my R32 manual its the Throttle Opening Output and pin 56 is the Throttle Sensor Output Signal

Is it right on pin 38 or should it be on pin 56?

Also what colour is the wire for the TPS pin 38 and pin 56

thanks

i have an atmo bov and als ohave the hks eids

my car used to stall everytime i stopped at the lights or roundabouts etc

i got mine installed at UAS in sydney

now my car rarely stalls.....wat happens is when the revs drop, the eids automatically increases the revs back up

but i cant really help u on installing it...probably best to take it to a workshop

    • It's been a little over a decade since I bought the S15. As I did on my socials, I'll share some of my favorite pictures from over the years further below. If you haven't realised, pretty much all the pictures in my posts are ones I've taken.  In terms of updates, I don't have pictures, but I acquired a near-perfect pair of fog lights from a friend of mine, so those got swapped in for the pair I already had. As for the JZX110, I just got it back from being fixed. A few weeks back, I was on the highway when I suddenly drove over something with very little time to react. It was probably the size of a soccer ball, but it went under the car and banged into the underside pretty loudly. I pulled over and realized the fluid leaking was fuel, and of course, it was right near my exhaust. This required replacing the fuel tank. If you happen to be in the same predicament, thankfully this car shares a fuel tank with the JZS171, IS200, and IS300, so it wasn't too painful to replace. Enjoy some pictures as mentioned above, including the carnage from the fuel tank and a bonus picture I came across which shows how ridiculously shiny the Bugels are on the 110. So many more pictures I could share of the S15 but this will do for today, enjoy.
