Anyone have part numbers for replacement things like oil filters, fuel filters, etc.

...and not stock part numbers, i mean aftermarket parts like valvoline filters and the like

feel free to post in here so we can all do our own oil changes!

cheers,

Warren

If i call nissan up with that oil filter part number will they know what it is? Or would it be under a different part number for nissan but exactly the same?

I have never run into problems, the JDM VIN is on their FAST system anyway so any part can be ordered.

When I bought my V35 350GT, it had a Z547 oil filter installed, I looked up the specs and these have the same thread and seal as the Z445, but they are a larger filter (longer)

Not sure if there is any benefit, unless you are extending your oil change intervals and allowing the standard filter to get clogged, then there probably isn't any benefit with a larger filter, but just thought I would mention it.

is it the right no?

21200-31u03==> Thermostat & housing

13050-31u00==> its gasket

Yes, it is correct.

Nothing unique with the V35's VQ35de... exactly the same as a 350z.

VQ25dd, VQ25det, VQ35de all use the same thermostat, oil pump, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter etc.

Today i went to Nissan here in Brissy and ask for a set of thermostat for my 350GT, he said 21200-4W01B should be the right one...that's weird..if all VQs are using the same Thermostat why 350GT is different from others.....

Check here http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=searchCatalogOEM&siteid=55 ==>21200-31U03, G25/M37/G37 all using the same part no.

However, http://www.infinitipartsusa.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=searchCatalogOEM&siteid=55==> 21200-4W01B , G35 ONLY???

Which is right, mates?

Instead of getting a replacement Nissan thermostat, why not log into RHDJapan.com and buy a Nismo thermostat.

The work perfectly and you will have no issue with this confusion you seem to have.

If you need a Nissan one TODAY, then give Nissan your VIN and they will use that to look up the correct part number.

Also, sometimes Nissan parts are changed, whether minimally or completely redesigned, thus the older part number is superseded.

This is the reason there may be more than one part number for a particular part.

Having said that, I can assure you that the Nismo thermostat for VQ35de will work in your car. .. as it does in my mates V35 (VQ35de + T), another friends J31 Maxima (VQ35de) and a number of Stagea's (VQ25det). It will also work in the Stagea that I have coming from Japan (VQ35de).

Dunno what else to tell ya, we have been playing around with these cars for around 5 years but hey... what would we know, we don't own a "350GT"
