I am thinking of doing mine too. All I would do it take off output pipe from the resivour and put it into a container of new fluid, and hook the return up to a small bucket or something. Then get someone to run the car until you have flushed like a litre of something through, or colour clears up. Then reconnect and refil with new fluid. As far as I know it's only auto trans fluid, so its not expensive to flush it with a litre or 2.

If this is wrong, please tell me now. It worked on my commodore though (although thats no miracle).

Also keep in mind that the power steering pump is not a highly stressed item like a gearbox or engine. You could get away without flushing it and just removing as much oil as you can through a syphon and then refilling.

When re-filling, to 'bleed' the system you'll need to run the car and go left full lock - right full lock, about 7-10 times, while keeping an eye on the fluid level.

BTW: sometimes the power steering pump can make nasty noises while it's very low on oil. Not sure if it's bad for it, but do it as fast as you can :D
