i have an asus A8JS notebook running vista and finding the screen very choppy on most games even with all settings low/off, especially on Halo 2. Thinking of upgrading memory from 1G to 2G (max allowed) but not sure to go Corsair/generic/kingston etc and prices seem to vary alot from stores to online stores

if it matters it has intel 2 (2.0GHz) and GeForce G7700 GPU

Notebooks are never good for running games.. but yes i'd defiantly recommend upgrading from 1G... 2G minimum with Vista... I find it runs a bit smoother with 4GB... (even though 32bit can't use all the 4GB)... Just get the same speed memory that you have now... go for kingston or corsair, either are fine.

Get rid of any Nortons progs as well.

We diag probs caused by Nortons on LAPTOPS every day (-NOT desktops -OK there)

Use Vet/CA or alternatives instead!

PS if you like HALO2 you would LOVE TRIBES2!! ;)

-an oldie but would run great on your system and you would get more enjoyment out of it!

Have not found a better FPS in 8 years since starting to play it!
