Hi there all, i just bought a set of Koya Drift Teks for my Skyline GTS-T R32 today 17x8 fronts and 17x9 rears and they look so damn good.

Anyways, my problem is that the front rims are missing the calipers by 1mm or so and i'm just wondering if anyone else who has these rims on their car has/had the same problem when they first got their wheels?

Already i have noticed that the right front scrapes a little bit at times on the caliper but nothing major as of yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Peter

Hey mate, I have Koya Drift teks on my R33 and I thought the same thing, took it for some hard cornering to see if it would be a problem. I've had them for near a year now and the only thing that's happened is some of the "nissan" writing paint was scraped off which was great because it scraped it back to now looking chrome  They are great wheels, have fun

just remember that spacers are illegal, so if you go that route, don't complain if you get caught.

i would just give it a month of so. they should sort themselves out. if you get sick of the noise just grind a mm or so off the nissan on the calipers, like singh said.

Your wheels are hitting your calipers and you wonder if thats a problem !! Well DER ! yes thats a problem.Take the shit back and get wheels that fit.And you wonder why the RTA demand yearly inspections.

dodgy set, they have been machined wrong the 8" should fit. The URAS (doritek copied the uras rims) 17x8" never had an issue, but they are now discontiuned as the new style is released..... which no doubt will be copied soon too :mrt:

    • No not yet.  Hopefully this weekend if I can pluck up the confidence!  I had to sit in the car at one point yesterday to unbolt the rear struts.  As mentioned in an earlier post when I was putting it together there is still a bit of rotation possible so when I sat in the car, it rotated a little bit.  I near shit myself thinking the whole thing was coming down!  I do 99% of my own shit in the shed but I think I might call on some assistance the first time I spin it!
    • Strong first post. On a Skyline-centric forum. Have you considered actually going out into the world, visiting the actual dealership, and asking the parts guy over the counter? Or at least just call them up on the phone?
    • Should shit that in as for the driver ability probably not
    • Trying to find the plastic under cover for an 04' Forester X. The main under cover that covers most of the front of the vehicle under the engine. This has turned out to be a crazy experience. Normally I can find parts for vehicles, if I have the correct info, no problem. But not this! The Forester is a non-turbo btw. In a Forester parts catalog, for model years 03'-06', it shows part# 56410SA070 as being the correct part. So I go to the local Subaru dealership's website to order it. I type in the part#, hit search and there it is, the under cover. "DOES THIS PART FIT YOUR VEHICLE?" I type in my VIN# and sure enough, "This Part Does Not Fit Your Vehicle. See Similar Parts For Your Vehicle." I click on that and part# 56410SA000 comes up. Looks absolutely nothing like the previous part. Not even close. So I go to a different Subaru dealer website and put in that 2nd part# (56410SA000) and "This Part Has Been Replaced By" 56410SA070, which is the first part I looked up. I thought OK, makes sense. They replaced the strange looking part, with the one I looked up first, so I add it to the cart. "Does This Part Fit Your Vehicle?" I type in my VIN#, and sure enough, "This Part Does Not Fit Your Vehicle." I've basically been doing this with various parts suppliers and dealerships, for the past 4 hours! Does anyone know what the hell is going on?? Thanks in advance!
