hi,

my power window regulator and switch have been stuffed for so long but today i finally got around to fixing it. anyway i changed them both and it works fine except one problem. When i press the switch for the drivers side down, the window goes up and when i flick it up, the window goes down. Basically its going in reverse. Ive alligned the regulator exactly how it was when i pulled it out. i checked the wires on the switch went in and out as they did on the old switch. im clueless now. its not a big problem, just annoying that i cant work it out.

If anybody has ideas or has experienced this before, your help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

Anton

I'd check the wiring to the motor or anything you disconnected. The motor can go in reverse, so it should be totally fine to swap the positive and negative around. I'd bet money that it's just reversed wiring somewhere.

You can do the same on an RC car motor, and it'll go backwards when you want forwards. No schottky diodes on them anymore!

LOL turn the switch around :-) you must have change the wires around on the switch when you installed the other. Have not seen these switches but if there is 6 change the middle 2 or if there is 3 change the end 2.

lol, dude its not as simple as changing the switch around. i didnt change any wires over, every coloured wire matches up like the old one, theres only two going in and two going out
