4door Crash - Im Off The Road For A While

Had an accident in the 4 door today, so I doubt Ill be at Autosalon.

Driving up towards Inglewood, came around a corner to see a car on the wrong side of the road heading for me.

I jumped on the brakes and swerved but lost control and hit a large rock.

(still it could have easily been much worse, and I got out without a scratch)

Biggest gripe was that lots of cars drove past and looked, (including members on this forum) but didnt stop to help or check everyone was OK. Thankfull a family in a Holden stopped and lent me a phone to call the police and my wife.

Thanks for the kind words. Its taking me time to come to terms with whats happened, and seems more personal than material (but it is only a car - and can be repaired)

The other driver didnt stop, so I dont have his details (it will cost me my excess, rather than a free repair) but Shannons were helpful.

It is my worst fear that some arseclown will be on the wrong side of the road heading up TTG hill - looks like a wide spot where the car came to rest. I thought they changed all of the centre lines to double up there, so there is no passing allowed whatsoever?!

Oh man that sucks! I was up there today going for a drive but I can't say that I saw you, if I did I would have stopped buddy, hope I wasn't one of the members that drove past! Same thing happened to me up there buddy; that's how I wrote of my first Skyline. Dude on the wrong side of the road, I swerved to miss, car wiped out and the bastard just kept going when he clearly knew what had happened.

I hope you are ok buddy, know what it feels like to have to pay for an accident when it wasn't your fault, take care, keep safe and hope all gets sorted with the repairs really quickly!

As a result I am in the market for a nice set of rims (insurance will only replace 2) and a new front bar. Not sure if I will get the same again (I liked having something a little different as everyone has a 400R, Veilside etc. - not that they are bad, just that they are too common)

Looking for ideas for the front bar, and for a set of 2nd hand rims that r the same price as 2 new Avanti rims (cash is tight so I can’t afford to splurge on a brand new set of 4, but insurance should pay for 2 new ones)

im hearing you with the common front bars i found one in another country that looks very hot but they dont deliver to australia

so i have to save up for bar and extra shipping cause where i work have faCTORIES oops in the germany and england and the sphincter of the universe and usa basically got the globe covered

No it wasnt V-spec, though i have seen him driving at 5km/hr up our road, but i have never had the skyline with me (always Di's 4x4)
