well was driving my r34 GTT today, and notice the oil pressure was looking a bit lower then normal, and not rising much. So thought i check oil and for ne leaks, etc.

Oil is all good, but my coolant is a Coffee looking colour. All i can think of is the head is f**ked?

Whats other things u guys reckon?

Cheers

Justin

I would thoroughly flush the cooling system with a flushing agent, and fill it with water. Drive it for a week and see what happens. Did you just buy the car, or do you have some other reason for suspecting head/gasket. Has it overheated, or making big power? RB heads are pretty tough, and dont crack often.(except RB30)

Dont jump to conclusions its a headgasket straight away.

Brown coloured coolant is usually just a sign of rust build up in the coolant galleries. Get your cooling system flushed properly (power flushed at a rad place is good) and have it pressure / leak tested. Replace the thermostat and coolant and u are good to go for 12 months.

If your coolant level is not dropping and the engine is not getting hot then i would be hopeful that your head and gasket are ok.

As others have advised drop a can of radiator flush in drive the car for about 30 minutes drop the old coolant out, fill with new coolant and see what happens after a week. But having the radiator services is top advise and should be done aswell.
