Buy many flashes, and remote triggers for the flashes. :(

Then play in the dark :)

Hard way to do it isnt it, in terms of the dark-room, I thought ye old dodge & burn would have been much easier, perhaps not producing quite the same effect as produced. But a bit of clever lighting could help that along.

Easy way to do it IMO.

Dodge & Burn cannot reproduce that image.

Click, shot done. Clean up a tad in post. finished.

but then you have to play with snoots/grids etc to focus the light, and it costs a fortune to get the lights and triggers

i assumed that as most people arent professional photographers and dont have half a dozen remote strobes that i was done with photoshop

i havent played around with flash indoors enough to be able to do shots like this, but i could probably photoshop something similar together
