Question, what does the EPA have to do with your ECU? How can they check your ECU anyways? Exhaust and BOV I can understand - but a ECU? How - please explain?

Its called a consult port. EPA just plugs in and away you go.

Hahaha c'mon guys. ANY aftermarket ECU or reprogrammed ECU is non EPA compliant, it's not brand specific

BTW - Car went to EPA today and is all clear so eat me (yes you know who you are) Found out I was done for the PFC hand controller. My advise, DON'T leave them in the car unless you're on the track.

Honestly, there isn't much need for them in the car permanently (connected and visible at least) if you have a decent tune anyway. I know the NSW coppers know them and what to look for now, so out of sight and out of mind. Just need to hide the AVCR (its gloveboxed) better now.
