R32 GTR Bonnet onto GTS-t - What's Required ??

Recommended Posts

As stated in the title, i am currently tracking down a GTR Bonnet for my R32 Gts-t.

From what i know, all the needs to be done is that the latches need to be brought forward a little.

Is this correct ??

Has anybody performed this conversion on their car before and can offer some advice ??

actually u need the GTR bonnet latch. Never heard of anyone being able to attach it without one or by manipulating the GTST one.

Thanks for the replies.

Booster, i have actually purchased a GTR grille so i will be using that.

And, no, i'm not doing it for a weight saving, i'm actually doing it for the look.

It looks so much better, especially when you have an aftermarket front bar like mine.

Is it lighter? Its made of aluminium it's ALOT lighter. Only way youd get lighter than ally is if you made it out of carbon.

Most people get it for the look though. Im lucky, mine came with the full gtr kit from Japan, not sure id make the effort to get it if it hadnt.

Buz-iit,

No-one reproduces them and they are so difficult to get.

Mine took a lot of negotiation and a lot of cash to get. Plus, i had to pay to get it painted.

Wouldn't go through the process again as it took $300 just to get the grille and have it sprayed.

The car looked fine without them but i'm sure it would look so much better with them though although it is a $1000 transition.
