The opportunity to experience Australia's most revered race circuit is finally here.

Applications for entry are now open for the driveBathurst and sprintBathurst events taking place 12-16 December 2007 on the FULL MOUNT PANORAMA CIRCUIT.

Apply now at:

=> http://www.drivebathurst.com

These are invitation only events and numbers are strictly limited. As we have already received over 1,500 expressions of interest, we urge you all to lodge your applications immediately at:

=> http://www.drivebathurst.com

Applications will be considered on a "first come, first served" basis.

See you on the Mountain!

This will be a CAMS sanctioned, invitation only event and successful applicants will require a minimum of a CAMS L2S licence and must have participated in at least 4 Club Supersprints (or equivalent) to participate in this event.

FCK YEAH!

shame It's priced a bit rich for my blood. though I would guess the overheads of running an event like this at bathurst would be huge!

God I wish I could afford that :)

Same!!! It would be the best 2 days ever :thumbsup:

You would have to go the sprintBathurst option, which starts from $4,900. So it is alot of cash!

it's hard to justify. $5K could get me a lot of track days.

but then again, it is bathurst.

and I'd need a new set of tyres $2K, make sure the car is tip top. $1K. some spares $1K. travelling cost. $500. so we are talking near enough to a $10K weekend and that's providing I dont bin it coming out of the chase!

Pitty we cant co-drive and share costs :)

Theres the next best thing - speed weekend for the supersprint and then the hill climb around same time of year.

I'll be 100% in that :thumbsup:

yes, but that supersprint and hill climb you speak of only use a small part of the circuit and you are going the wrong way. still good fun, but not quite in the same league.

a friend of mine is running in a race meet at bathurst and told me their entry cost is $400. so with the $4600 left over maybe I can build a crappy car, and get my NC licence and enter that!

Oh I know the BB,

But I mean you are still racing on the track which hardlky anyone else does, and for a shitload less!!

Id rather do the sprint and hill climb 40 odd times than spend the rest on the other race!

Oh, the hillclimb on the speed weekend is actually the correct way. Its mt straight and up that way

They have other hill climbs through the SS's

How come on the application it doesn't give me a choice of which cars they are providing me to drive..... :thumbsup:

For $4k i'd rather hire Oran Park myself and piss all over the main straight all day.

One of the guys on the Zed forum posted this, puts a different slant on it.

"For that price it would be cheaper to fly to Germany and go around the Nürburgring. It costs 345 Euro to do 25 laps there and you could possibly hire a German sports car to do it in."

    • Hey, it's me! Though honestly, if I had 20M in my bank account tomorrow, I would not want to be rid of my car all of the sudden - Which makes me think this is money stuff, not "I actually hate car" stuff. I'd probably double down and buy even more trinkets and fun things for it. If this is not you, then sell it cheaper. It will sell at a certain price after all.
    • This is the LCA mount reloctaion kit. Self explanatory in its description. https://au.gktech.com/products/s13-180sx-r32-subframe-anti-squat-reduction-weld-in-kit?_pos=62&_fid=1e812d392&_ss=c These are the alloy subframe bush inserts that I am using. I like them. https://au.gktech.com/products/rear-subframe-slip-in-collars?_pos=29&_fid=1e812d392&_ss=c Alternatively, if you have original and shitty bushes, you might consider outright replacement with poly. https://au.gktech.com/products/polyurethane-rear-subframe-bushes?_pos=28&_fid=1e812d392&_ss=c I would also higly recommend that you look into adjustable RUCAs and tension rods, so you can sort out the camber and bump steer behaviour, especially if the car will be any more than ~15mm lower than stock. I would also highly recommend the GKTech FUCAs, although you really should do some research and learning on the subjetc of R32 FUCAs before making any decisions. All of this will be criticaly difficult to get through a TÜV inspection too, if that happens to be relevant to you. Note that if you do install the relocation kit, you will absolutely have to replace the associated bushes with spherical joints (you can read all about that on the product page) or upgrade the LCAs also.
    • I picked up my block and head last week and have been slowly assembling it since then. Pictures I took earlier this week. The rest of the auxiliaries are on now. I just have my intake manifold runners to tap for my WMI direct port setup before putting it back on. I should hopefully have the motor back in by this weekend.
