I put a set of BrakeWests ADR approved hoses on my GTR and there was a noticable difference.

The pedal feels much solider and you only need to tap the brakes before the brakes start working.

I've got a group buy going on at the moment.

$195 for a full set of ADR approved hoses delivered!

I paid $315 for the brake lines only. Whats a clutch line worth these days?

If you aren't too fussed about ADR's then i reckon the nismo ones for $250 delivered on nengun are the way to go if you aren't in a hurry to get them.

Dave,

I got a quote off them for $445.00 for braided brake lines and clutch lines delivered.

That a good price people?

I'd just wait for the group buy to start up again. $195 delivered. Unless you are in some sort of rush?

www.braidedhoses.com.au is all you need to know.

This site will tell you pro's con's where to buy them etc etc.

Unless the braided line has the little rubber grommet between the banjo/fitting and the braid it is not ADR compliant.

After the hoses are made they are tested to 3000psi to ensure no leaks, then if possible9 by that i mean room permits depending on the fittings) they can be stamped to say that they have been tested and comply and the company that made the hosed is required to keep documentation on the job it has completed in case of problems down the road. Its amazing to see just how much the rubber lines balloon when placed under 3000psi of pressure, in braided lines there is zero expansion.

I have them on my bike and on my car and the difference is very noticable and I think well worth the money.

They are over kill on a clutch pedal unless its running near something extremely hot, exhaust turbo, replacing the stupid system on an R33 with a single rubber line and doing away with the other bits of metal piping, is well worth it as they're a pain to bleed sometimes.

I can see a point of view that they are not needed on the road unless you drive like an idiot, however, remember that the energy that is used to balloon your rubber lines instead of stopping the car, unlike braided lines, could be the difference between a close call and an accident. The same applies for the master cylinder stopper ( these are standard on VS commodores and maybe some others I think).

    • I would not be surprised if you are the only person on earth that has the interest/desire to do that lol.  The Haltech base map is a really good starting point, the car will fire easily and drive very well, even on mild boost levels. To me, following your advice sounds like some sort of ancient Chinese water torcher lol (this is not an insult Josh, never change <3)
    • Those car show concepts from the 2000's and 2010's like the Floria and IDx were brilliant and should've gone ahead, at least one of them. But neither Honda nor Nissan are thinking about affordable performance any more, which is truly sad.  Even if Toyota's liquid hydrogen ICE development reaches the point where it's commercially viable and the infrastructure to support it, Honda/Nissan would have to wait until Toyota allow fee access to their patents to offer it with any smaller performance models they released to take advantage of it.
    • A sporty manual RWD coupe with a IL4 Honda engine would only be a good thing I assume we won't see anything released for a few years though, unless informal talks and designs have been going on for a few years,  and due to the current, and future, emmisions and safety requirements, I assume anything "sporty" they would do would be at least some hybrid thingie And hopefully anything they are thinking of has nice lines, without lots of plastic and fake bits hanging off it like that horrendous FK8 that looked like it was designed by a 13 year old The other issue of course in the current market is cost, currently the type R is around $70k, a twin is around $50k Meh, I'm old and grumpy and would rather buy a older model car and waste my coin on that than buying anything currently available new
