Hey guys i ask this question becasue i am having trouble with my car. I had my car dyno tuned the other day making only a small amount of power on 10 pound (165 rwhp) this is out of a stock motor with only these few extra mods

It has a M's k&n filter 3 inch exhaust gfb bleed vavle and a gtr fuel pump. THe mechanic that worked on my car said that it was running rich at load load which is ok by me. It also had a greddy blow off vavle that was leaking so i have blanked off the hole.

BUt lately under full load read sideways with the wheels spinning or a quick blast in second the car will rev then basically loose all power at around 6 grand. Once this happens i select nuetral (as the throttle no longer works at all) and the revs drop to around 1000 rpm then the engine will refire and the car will run again.

Or in a different situation the car will rev to around 6 grand then do the same sort of thing but the car will still respond to the accelorator but will cut in and out not like the rev limiter but it will rev then stop and then rev and then stop this only occurs under full acceleration and only seems to happen when im bloody racing someone.

Help me guys its starting to get really embarassing. I also have a malpassi fuel pressure regulator sitting in my bedroom waiting to go on the car in the future.

thanks for any help anyone could offer

Hi,

I'd check these items in this order.

Condidtion of coil packs (damaged coil packs are hard to diagnose on a dyno and can be mistaken for the car running lean hence the need to run a higher richness in tune.

Fuel pump pickup. If you have changed your stock fuel pump for a GTR item, you need to make sure the fuel pickup sock is at the same position as the original otherwise you will experience fuel pickup issues creating fuel surges. (which is very bad - get it looked at asap)

I am pretty sure this will sort you out.

In answer to your question though... yes SR20DET 180's have a boost cut on the standard ecu map.
