Hey all,

Had a bit of a snoop around but couldn't find any recommended Shops to buy / fit a quality alarm / immobiliser for the new Skyline here on the forum,

Does anyone here know off or can recommend a good / reliable shop and even drop a contact name.... :/

Cheers guys.

Im trying to workout a deal with the SAU-Vic club. (so become a member mate)

$200 will get you a fully installed and insurance approved alarm :mrt:

With additional extra's to suit.

So decent security, at very affordable pricing. :)

Do you really want the person installing your alarm to know where you live and keep your car?

Yes, makes it much more convinient. You must be a F*****n Idiot to think this guy would come steal your $15000 skyline when he works on M3's, AMG's jaguars etc.

He is Very professional. Anyone can steal your car, this guys profession is installing alarms, audio and visual. Not a professional thief.

Ease up dude, its a legit comment.

I know of "we come to you" installation rackets that were busted up a few years ago where people were doing exactly that.

And dare i say it, there is probably one or two out there today still. Its a bit world out there.

Remember, the people that break into cars the fastest generally are installers, or people with intricate knowledge of how things are installed :)

Yes thats true but not every muslim on a plane will try and hijack it. Has it happened, yes but no point being paranoid because someone has done something before. And if your that paranoid, he can still come to you, just park your car round the block.

My cars still in the driveway and the service was great.

Thanks for all the responses, will check things out :P

immortal - is your car a white 33 with personalised plates... erm that are like your user name?

Nah Buddy My 33 is Gunmetal grey and I dont have possession of it yet, its being complied

I'll check your mate out bluey and if I was worried about my car getting pinched Dark by an installer, I would get him to fit it at work where I can watch him and the car all day.

Cheers guys.

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
