Hey All..

I'll fill you in on what the bad part of my story is... 2 weeks ago I met up with R31Nismoid up in Sunshine for a cruise, and after a bit of 'harder-than-average' driving, one of my pistons failed causing my car to turn into smoke blowing, un-driveable piece of japanese metal...

But After getting it towed home, to SEAFORD... and then to the mechanic I learnt the terrific news Yesterday that the 3 yr warranty I bought when I got the car, is going to pay for the full cost of a rebuild.. Mmm.. Rebuilt RB25.. :D

BUT, The reason for my post is mainly a question.. Anyone out there had their motor (RB25DET) rebuilt? And what was it like afterwards? Like what can I look forward to? Besides an engine that should run smoother than factory...

Anyone got some comments on What I can look forward to?

Cheers ;)

Ok, My Mods are as follows :

- Go Fast Bits Boost Controller (Currently Set to 12 PSI)

- Duel Entry Ball Bearing Turbo

- Blitz Turbo Timer

- Blitz Adjustable Struts/Suspension

- HKS Pod Filter

- HKS Performance Clutch

- HKS 4' Down Pipe from the turbo, Into a Hi-Flow Cat, into a 3' Custom Exhaust

- Autometer Boost Guage

- Avanti 17' Deep Dish Rims

- JVC MP3 Player, with 4 Pioneer 3 way 6' Speakers, and a 600watt Avantgarde Competition Amp feeding power to a 500Watt 12' Clarion Subwoofer in Custom Box with Custom Graphics

.....The mechanic said that my piston collapsed, which I'm not 100% about but hey, in the end I don't car as long as it's all fixed... I'll know more by the end of today as he's pulling the motor apart today..

Hope that helps :D
