What The Hell Is Wrong With My Turbo?

i don't know if it's my turbo thats not working. or maybe i have a boost leak.

but the problem is .. i have no boost

when boost is meant to kick in at around 3000rpm, is just revs high real quickly..

i've got a stock R32 GTS-t turbo...

does the std guage move into to -ve area while idling and decellerating ??? does the guage show +ve in that rev range?

if it doesnt move at all check the guage's vacuum hose connection on the back of the plenum

Slipping clutch, if the revs go up quickly

the vacuum gauge works as normal.

thats why i dunno whats wrong?

any other ideas?

if its running MAF sensors then it wont be a cooler hose - since the car wont go (too rich)

Yeah almost certainly the clutch. As boost is about to come on the clutch slips, hence all the load on the motor is gone and you don't generate boost..like reving in neutral

sounds like clutch to me

usually it will be most noticeable in 5th gear, then become more prevalent in lower gears, 4th then 3rd then 2nd n 1st.

in time you won't be able to accelerate at all

expensive to change too
