hello,

another must do on my 2008 japan trip is a visit to veilside.

Does anyone know how to get there by train/bus etc.?

any info would be very helpful.

thanks again

ken

yeah..ill give you some info..

if your planning to come here for that as a "must see" then i suggest going to another country.

^^^ another USEFUL post Hmmmm...

anyways, I am looking at heading over there myself for Tokyo Autosalon 2008 and then heading to Osaka after...

Have never been there myself but will try and sus it out some more and if I can get some decent directions I will let you know...

When are you heading over?

i've been there. it's pretty sweet. a pretty long way from tokyo though, and a VERY long way if you are coming from Osaka or Kobe.

basically the jist of it is, get a train to Tsukuba and then get a taxi to veilside. Taxi wont be cheap though $50+ from memory. maybe more even.

Pretty long way is an understatement! If my memory serves me correctly it took us a good 2-3 hours to get there from Chiba.

Ken: As you can see from the photos above, in terms of tuning shops, it is a must see, and the big boss is very welcoming and is quite happy to chat. The car park was equally as impressive as the cars in the actual showroom!

If you havent been before you will have a blast Martin, take loads of cash with you :)

Thanks blitz... yeah plenty of cash indeed!! Went to this years TAS and went to Top secret, Nismo omori etc and had a blast... missed out on Veilside last time so keen to go next year. Dont mind a taxi fare coz there will be a group of us goin... took three taxis together to get to top Secret last time!

you've come through again richard....very nice pics.. :P

i'll be spending around a week in tokyo after leaving kobe next february.

from what Blitz said, i'd be best leaving a whole day free and start from Chiba for the train journey.

thanks again 4 the advice guys, its a great starting point.

No question there is more to see... but ask any enthusiast to name some jap tuning shops and I guarantee that veilside will be one of the first few mentioned.

As a car enthusiast travelling in japan it is one of the places I would call a must see.

The guy is allowed to be excited to travel there and see it for real... I know I would.

He was simply seeking directions not inviting a sarcastic flaming.

Thanks to DCD for the concise direction.
