My Head Lights Are Not Lined Properly..

hi my head lights are not lined properly..

left hand side one is much higher than right hand side one..

do you guys know how to line them up? it doesnt rea~~~~lly matter but... everytime im driving at night time... very annoying me..

im going to convert them to HID and just worrying that will affect the other side of cars since the left one is higher....do i have to change whole head light unit?..... cheers guys...

How much higher is your left headlight compared to the right? Usually the left headlight is higher than the right to light up signs or something. If you want to adjust the height, there should be two (if I remember correctly) screws behind the headlight housing. One should be to adjust the up and down movements, another left and right. Play around with them to see where they go and adjust.

There's no need to change housings.

when you park in front of white wall, say about 30cm away from the wall, the difference is about 10cm higher than right one....

i cant find screw behind the headlight house..... can you please show me as picture please? all i see is screw on the top of house.........

I found this thread on how to adjust an R32 headlight, but it shouldn't be too different from an R34. Just use it as a guide and see if you can adjust it. I'll try to find a better thread for you.

I don't thing you'll be able to adjust the headlights in your seat. When you're adjusting you headlights, you're moving parts inside the headlight housing (tilting the projector up and down or side to side if it were a projector headlight).

Maybe you've mistaken it for high and low beams where you just flick the switch?

^^ My parents have a 34 and there is a dial on the dash to tilt the headlights up and down? Same thing or different?

I honestly don't know mate. Never been in an R34 interior before. Have you tried pressing it to see what it does?

Technology in cars have improved so much since the R32 years.

Dial on the dash changes both headlights at once.. it uses a little engine to adjust up and down .. i think its about 3degrees or so at a time .. 4 selections avaliable..

On the back of your headlight under the bonnet is a white 6 sided hexagon thingo .. if your facing the headlight from the front of the car use a shifter to rotate it to the left (up) and right (down) to adjust headlights

The ;eft hand light is meant to be a few degrees lower than the right to prevent blinding the person facing your car.. but most people have them even for looks

Now park your car on a straight street at night and bob down till your eye level with the front window .. slowly drop down until you meet the light of the headlights in your eyes.. then you can see if your correctly level .. the lights are not meant to be higher than 45 degrees a good position is about 35 degrees for halogen and 30 degrees for HID (to be safe)

Dont do this if your using HID its very bright .. Park infront of a car about 5cm from its ass (make sure its clean) and adjust it using the focus point of the light .. the focus point is the middle of the beam and looks like a straight horizontal line accross the back of the car .. when your at 45 degrees with that line its way to high .. make sure its about 5cm below 45 degrees
