Hey guys i need a hand.

power steering is ok on start up, works fine after about 3 min of driving the power steering gets weaker and weaker and the car gets harder and harder to steer, after a few more min. Its hard and i got no powersteering at all, The pump is not making any noise, its not grinding or squelling, my power steering fluid is just below max.

*but i have noticed that on my power steering cap, there looks like there should be 2 wires attached.... well they are not attached it looks like someone just ripped them off, what is that just a level sensor?? or what*

anwayz do you think my pump is failing?, but there is no noise. One other major point is that my CEL is on, so i'm going to try and find the codes that pop up, maybe it has something to do with a faulty sensor. i guess we shall see. Any leads would be appreciated. thanks

there should be 2 wires attached.

Grab a wiring diagram, and fix them up and see if it solves your problem.

Powersteering can also be related to the speedo. Is your speedo working? (speed sensor tells the ps how hard to work, slower at high speeds and harder in a carpark) If it doesnt work it will cut ps usually about 400m / couple of mins up the road

Okay well a little plastic tube came out when i changed my speedo out to a mines speedo, but on the back of the mines speedo, its missing the plug, what does that plug power? is it the dinger that goes off after like 110km??

Anywayz i pulled my ecu codes and i got a 55 which is all clear.

But I still have a CEL on.

Maybe check the plug (that doesn't connect to the Mines speedo) for continuity back to pin 53 at the ECU (pin 53 is the speed signal wire).

Thats a hell of an idea, thank you muchly, see if the ECU is recieving the signal. , okay going to check pin 53.
