ImPrOvIsE
I have heard now from a couple of people that there is a driving course that can be undertaken to regain 2 points. Has anyone here heard of this and if so, do u know any contact details. dan_the_man
extraordinary license. You have to pay a fee to get it. You have to go to court and its up to the JP Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/17453-regaining-demerit-points/#findComment-361444 Share on other sites
R33_Cam
extraordinary licenses are ok, i have had one, but you have to wait 6 weeks after its suspended to apply, and at that point if you have only lost your license for points you will only have 6 weeks left and then your not even guaranteed to get it, you also have to carry a log book filled out before hand of where u are going and why etc etc, i had to have someone appear in court from my work saying that it was needed for work, otherwise i dont think i would have got it. Nate
You use to just be able to write to the transport people, and the head fellas in there would approve/disapprove of it. I doubt that i would ever get a licence if it was up to the courts :| And now you gotta wear "E" plates... before you never had to wear nothing just "P"s i think.... ? ImPrOvIsE
I rang them yesterday and there is no such course in this state. I think that this course can be done in other states and there has been talk of it in this state but has not come into fruition. Im sure if we put it to parliament that if we lose our license for 3 months, then that is 3 months where they are not making money from fines of us. they would probably then change the legislation. Greedy wankers When i recently got done the cop told me how many points i had left (2) then handed me a 3 demerit point fine with a smile. It saddens me that these type of cops must have no social life or enjoyments in life that they must act like this. R33_Cam
i didnt have to wear "E" plates when i had mine, the judge specifies whether or not you wear the "E" plates, usually he only makes ppl that have lost there license for drunk driving wear "E" plates...
