I remember ringing one of the guys in the yellow pages a few years ago. basically got a lecture as the guy seemed on his high horse for no reason and mentioned a few times that he polishes the "Rundle mall balls" and can do a show room polish that will clean with just petrol blah blah. I try stay away from knobbers like that...

If u have some time and patience u can do it yourself depending on what it its. U just need to use some wet/dry emery paper to take it gradually down to a fine polish, then if u can use a bench grinder setup with a polishing wheel, and use clay will make it a mirror.

Really depends on what u want done though (is it smooth and flat, or has lots of surfaces etc) and how well u want it polished or mirror....

Got most of my engine bay stuff polished through [boostworx] Shaun's guy. Also, currently getting some stuff chrome plated by Windsor Electroplaters in Windsor Gardens who also do polishing & are a bit pricey but, they were the closest.

ahhh thanksssss, need the shiny exhaust tip for the rice factor

autobarn would stock them i guess

Hey Andy, try Meguiars NXT generation Metal Polysh. Bit expensive, but the lady at eliz autobarn lent me the store sample of theirs and its the best one i have ever used! Was good for the radiator panel, intercooler pipes and the exhaust tip!

As for the polishing Shaun, the best advice would be to try to do it yourself. What are you polishing?

I'll get you a number for Stan the polishing man, get stuff done through him at work. Just file out any major marks that you don't want, ie. casting marks and he will bring it up beautifully and for next to nothing.............

I am polishing my intercooler and pipes now that everyone will be able to see them with the new bar in place and there will be lots of other stuff as i go along and bring the engine bay up to scratch.
