the blue and white badges belong on the NON-type S R33 GTS25s some of the early model R32 GTS. not 100% sure on the R34.

the red badges are on the type-s GTS25, so it's not a "turbo" thing.

here's a set of black badges for ya :domokun:

oooo.. So i might have a type-s lol?

i was told originally (while the car was coming from japan) that red/white is turbo and blue/white in non turbo........im guessing with r34 its either red and white or blue and white, havent seen any different ones around

turboing it isnt that hard nor expencive, it can be done on the cheap and provide good power and for less than the cost of dumping in a turbo engine,

or you can do it properly and spend a bit more and get some real nice power, pretty much doing the same mods you would do on the turbo engine on a later date, but running a little less boost, although the boost hits way quicker and is a more torque engine with a straigher curve

Just think turbo guys change

Fuel pump, injectors, front mount, upgraded turbo kit (comes with all lines needed)(wouldnt need as big a turbo so that would save some $$) and some sort of ecu, so turboing your na isnt as expencive as you think as long as you can do some of it yourself.

As long as your not looking for over 200kws you shouldnt have to open up the engine and your diff and trans will be up to the task too

Lots of info avaliable on turboed your na on this very site have a read if your still interested pm me ill be happy to help theres lots of other people out there that would love to help to, hell if you live in south east melb ill be happy to come down help you out

hahaha but what is a type-s?

non-type-s:

- base model

- lsd was an option

- airbag was an option

- 140kw fly

- steering wheel?

- etc, small nitty gritty bits

type-s:

- lsd was standard

- 7kw more power

- airbag was an option

- etc, same as above

so basically a type-s comes with a few things as standard, but from what i've observed skylines could have been optioned with so many things. drink coolers, towel holders, tool kits, air purifiers, driver airbag, passenger airbag, skyline illuminated rear light, etc. etc.

it's like they had a clipboard with a list of what you wanted and you'd walk into nissan and tick the stuff you wanted.

my type s came with the turbo red white badges on it, i did a vin check to find out it was type s, i thought that most of the na's threwout all models 32-34 had the blue badges for na's (i have seen 34 na's with blue badges) and the only time they were changed to red ones is if someone changed them themselves.

7 kw's MANG!!!!

=P lol

Hey guys..as much as i love the N/A unfortuantly something incredibly misfortuant has happened to my engine and there for it will need a rebuild, so instead i am thinking about dropping in a RB25DET complete set-up. Any comments queries i should no about..

Does anyone know anyone selling an RB at the moment?

Kind Regards HAmish

nice car!

i want to get a custom sprayjob, ect, ect, ect on mine but when im off my p's i think it would be easier to buy a turbo then do the engine transplant. stereo is all mine has at the moment because at least it can be removed once i sell it

Yeaha, good point, EUG the badge looks like where the compliance side indicators belong..interesting...

and to thorpe 84, yeaha stero is the way to go if you are not wanting power mods due to restrictions, i am only on my p's however i was one of the lucky ones that did not get effected by the law in QLD as i got my P's in 05 i think, lol so new laws don't effect me.

UPDATE: The car will be having some surgery done to her soon, i loved the N/A engine, and with my pretty standard mods allowing for higher flow of air it made good power, however it should be undergoing a transformation in the next couple of weeks where a RB25DET will be transplanted into the bay along with ECU + gearbox etc to handel the new engine.

Kind Regards Hamish..
