Well... i was really looking forward to this release once i played Wii Golf on Wii Sports, i havent really played a Golf game since TW99 which was fun at first but tended to get boring (yes... boring... who would have thought Golf could be boring) after a while as you played by clicking your mouse... then clicking it again... then getting to the next spot and click it again... wow a bird on the course... click... anyway.

The whole premis of swinging like your actually playing brings a whole new element to a game like this... Wii sports showed exactly how much more exciting it could be to anyone.

Of course with this new found technology, which is still in its early days and not as refined as it could be, there is always going to be a few things that are going to cause it to be a bit of a drawback as well as a bonus.

I guess we could put it down to the very same reasons that the PS3 at the moment is behind the 8 ball with its console compared to the 360 (other then price), and thats the fact developers really havent gotten around to putting in the effort to create an entirely seperate game and simply ported it from one console/platform to another.

Unlike Wii Sports your swing does not reflect the swing of the golfer you are controlling... which makes it a little harder to get the accuracy you could with Wii Sports Golf. Much like TW99 you first do the back swing and then in a seperate motion, complete the follow through.

While this does take a little of the fun and potential that could have been away from the Wii remote it is still better then using a button or mouse to do the motion for you.

Also, depending on what mode you use (Easy, Medium, Pro or whatever it is) you can adjust the type of shots you play to include fades, draws and other types of shots on your swing motion.

The graphics are pretty good... the sounds are decent... and overall i think its not bad...

Out of 10 id give it a 8... and thats probably because i love golf and im currently addicted to this game.

For someone not into golf i dont think it will really be likely to sway you into playing it as much as something like Wii Sports Golf would, altho its not really meant to as its more of a Sim. Cant wait for a cricket game tho!
