k, Another question...

my r33 gtst has a 3inch cat back, with 1 rear muffler, 3 inch dump,

but a 2.5 inch cat converter. I finally got all the misfires fixed in my car and wound the boost up to 10psi.

When it comes on boost there, there is a sudden shove in the back of the seat, but about 200 rpm later (yes 200 rmp) power quickly fades to actually feeling a bit gutless. Today i got smoked by my mate in his sr20det 180sx, with only an exhaust.

is the problem here the cat converter? Any suggestions?

HI sumfatchin, ECU overboost cut would be my guess. Time for a boots cut defeater or better still a Power FC.

I doubt it is an overboost cut, my 33gtst is set to .85bar for high setting and it stays there until about 6000rpm then it backs off a bit (stock turbo probably running out of puff,or cos of shitty stock cooler) i dont think he'd have any trouble with 10psi.
