The reason i ask, is me and a mate were out in my g/f's GTi-R Pulsar tonight with the G-tech :( ... I think we may have destroyed a g/box.. Here is a re-enactment..

- Launch of at 4000-5000 rpm, pull 2nd gear :burnout: .... Go to third, hard to engage, try again, then it seems to go in... But here is where it gets weird.. Gear stick then can move around freely and is still in gear... Gets better, when stopped, still stuck in gear, you can get it to select (not engage), 1st, 2nd,3rd, cant get into 4th, but 5th & reverse you can.. Go to drive off it is still in, we think 4th gear.... :D

I hope this is clear enough.. CAN SUM 1 HELP ME as i have lost my Skyline to the g/f until i fix GTi-R... (but she's payin for parts if needed ;) )

Any advice would be great.. Will if worst case be pullin down the g/box over the weekend..

Could have broken or disconected the linkage at the bottom of the gear stick so gear stick moves but doesnt do anything and the box stays in the gear it was in when it broke. If this is the case it's a fairly easy and inexpensive fix. Pull the gearlever out to find out

Gotta be the linkages, if it's still in gear. The collar is engaged and driving the car so the box itself isn't dead, but you can't get out of gear because the linkages have snapped.

Yeah spoke to a dude i now today that specialises in gearboxes.. Unfortunatley i need to pull g/box out and pull apart, but it is (HOPEFULLY) a cheap fix, only got to realign the selector as it has come out of alignment.. Nothing too major.... (At least i can detail and clean engine bay.. Might as well take motor and all out..)

Thanx to everyone that helped me out.. :P

For all you GTi-R owners (not me) out there. BE CAREFUL.... And apparently the U-12 and U-13 Bluebird Selectors for the 3 to 4th rail are the same.. (I didn't try this, just got told by the helful dude at NISSAN)

Thanks to everyone again that gave advice on this problem..
