All i can say its hard to trust people thease days. I have heard so many bad storys about work shops its not funny.

Agreed.

That's why i have taken my car to EAS for the last 6yrs.

There has been alot of hype about other w/shops, on these forums, over the last 5yrs and most have gone into the wind. I have stuck with Vic and George due to their attention and care. Their fabrication work is also top notch.

everyone recommends everyone..

well... obviously when you come out with this

rav, you can trust many mechanics.. john bresciani hasnt got a full workshop with countless 9sec cars for no reason ay.. same with alan and billy rajab.. they dont hold the fastest vl in the country for no reason.. also the boys at creatd.. they arnt known for their grade a work for no reason..

Moving on, been a while since ive made a larger comment on these types of things.

If you ask me, there isnt a decent workshop in the West based on my personal experiences with 7 different ones. (not any listed above in the quote so as to distinguish from what im about to say)

These places have either dicked me around for months and months of excuses, or ended up costing me money to fix stuff ups when having to take my car somewhere else.

Some have even written off customers cars, others have been doing burnouts/thrashing customers cars. Things like this just doesn't cut it in my book.

To call somewhere decent when this sort of behaviour is occurring, especially when people know this is going on yet still say "they are a great workshop"

Its utter crap in my book. If that's going on, they are a sh|t operation. Simple as that.

If you want know more, feel free to PM me anytime. I've been around the Skyline based workshops since 2002, im honestly surprised some places are still open with some of the practices that are going on out there without customers knowledge.

Oh now i see where that is going: so i'll address it here, before people talk shit behind closed doors, especially when they don't know the true facts.

Yes Vic had an accident (write-off) in a customer's car, WHILE THE CUSTOMER WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. Car had been just fitted with a new turbo set-up and the customer asked Vic to take him for a test drive. Due to the customer's "home made" suspension mods, the car was just about on it's bump-stops. They went for a test drive and the car hit a sever bump/ditch in the road (which VICroads decided to resurface after the accident), the lack of suspension travel threw the car sideways, at the same time a truck decided to pull out from a side street. To avoid the truck Vic steered away and attempted to miss a pole, but physics is a bitch; the pole was lined up directly for the passenger door, so Vic released the brake and planted the accelerator, resulting in the pole hitting the car behind the B-pillar.

Needless to say cops, ambos, etc. where at the scene. Upon police inspection Vic was not charged at all with any offenses. The skid marks drew a picture that resulted in the cops acknowledging that Vic's actions had saved his passenger (owner) from more sever injuries. (I am sure Ash you know what happens when you hit a pole and Police determine that your driving was the main contributing factor :) )

Furthermore, the car was covered under insurance. The fact that the owner was a blinded selfish prick and wanted more compensation from Vic was where the bitterness came; an attempted law suit was quickly withdrawn.

This is honestly the only accident that i know of committed my EAS.

So i ask you Ash, how many w/shops have you blown the trumpet for over the past 7yrs, and how many of them ended up being shit, burnt customers and have since faded away into the wind. I can personally think of 3, each time you were claiming they were the greatest, only to jump ship later down the track. :worship:

If anyone wants to discuss this or any other issues further i am happy to reply to PM's. I am also happy to learn something if someone knows something i don't know.

yeah thats true (allthough i dont no about the ash part cause ive only been on sau a few years) but quite often HALF of sau is recommending a place then suddenly it changes to another place, then another :spank: My theory is everyones going to the place being recommended so they get heaps busy and the quality of work goes down.

I know some of my experiences at a couple of places have been differant to the other 97% of people that went to these places, so you'll never find a place that makes 100% of people happy.

:laughing-smiley-014:

Considering i didnt implicate anywhere, your pretty defensive for some reason.

I been building cars for 14 years and have been around many workshops.

Hence why i do it myself, I know it is done right! Tuning tho, I can only trust one workshop. So many shops promise so much yet always fail to deliver.

Never had a drama with who tunes our cars, but he is out S.E side of town.

back to the top subject , nismo has robbed a customer from bendigo for a standard rb 20 engine swap yes a standard engine for 10 grand change over as well for his R32 gtst , its standard coz it failed and the vechile is at another workshop in pieces , im looking at the out come on this one ! its not the first for this person to screw people and rape them !

Fellas,

I have to say, I'm not too impressed of late. I rang up the guy and said to him I need help to retune my car as I've noticed the boost spikey alot and it doesn't feel smooth like before - was suppose to be smoother on the high revs with an aftermarket CCU in there. Besides this, I opened up my hood for a quick inspection a few weeks back and noticed he'd trimmed down my radiator fan just that he can fit the intercooler piping into it... I was not pleased at all - as I know there are ways you can pump it on the side more so that there's no need to cut the fans.

Also, I noticed that he had left a screw driver in my engine back without taking it out - imagine it hit something in whilst driving... I came back to him and all he could say was "sorry, I must of had a rough day - I'm really sorry..." Look, so far the car's gone ok so I really cant' say anything else yet - but it's just his service and attitude about things that really upsets me sometimes.

Cheers,

Guest
