Changing GTR centre guages...

Has anyone swapped the actual guages with aftermarket ones without having to change the whole cluster?

I have a 32GTR & would like to out a better boost guage in but I want to leave the car looking standard - surely someone must have done this before?

Hi micko bring your car to the work shop i have a nice jig saw that will make short work of getting that stock boost gauge out :bahaha: :bahaha:

In an old issue of HPI they changed the boost gauge to an aftermarket one. They said it was hell expensive and would have been just as much to buy the full Nismo set. I'd say buy that in black face which will look pretty damn close to standard.....

Micko, aren't they 52mm or something? why not pull out the boost and stick in a jap 52mm one?

Ronin - I was thinking the same thing, but something tells me it may not be quite that simple.

I was kinda hoping that somebody had already done it & could tell me how to do it...

Mines, trust and possibly others make a direct replacement for the gtr boost gauge. Its a matter removing the entire cluster. You'll need to disconnect all wiring and hoses that are connected to the cluster, take the backing and then the stock boost gauge out. Put the aftermarket one in and reconnect the hoses and wiring.

If its not a direct replacement I'd go with other guys suggestion and put in the pillar.

Also the direct replacements are expensive and a second hand one is hard to find, took me ages to find one.
