LatinR33
Hey how you all going. Ive heard of guys on here running 6x9's without modifying the parcel shelf (cutting in to the chassis) I know someone who got a new parcel shelf built but is there a simpler way to do it and still make it look very neat and legal. Pics would be appreciated also. Thanks Edited July 3, 2007 by LatinR33 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/175269-6x9s-in-r33s-how-the-hell-did-you-guys-do-it/ Share on other sites
Fhrx
We usually make a 6x9" baffle that attaches to the bottom of the parcel shelf. The speaker mounts face up to that baffle and simply fires through it and the hole in the shelf. Remember that only the midrange and tweeter need to fire through the whole entirely. If the 6x9" cone (which is a sub / mid bass driver) doesn't fire through the hole entirely, the bass will not be overly affected.
