Folks, time has come to sell my beloved Cefiro. Originally the car (standard) cost about $11k on the road in December 04 and I have calculated that I have spent upwards of $35k on parts (not incl labour or maintenance etc). I dare say over $55k has been dropped on this thing in total, so Im hoping to get around $19,000ono.

Eastern States Buyers Welcome!

Will pay anyone a 1.5% Spotters fee for a successful sale of the car. So if you have a mate who's keen, speak up and take some money from me for your kind efforts!

Original Documentation + Import papers, Approvals etc

Vehicle has permits for all modifications in WA. Turbo kit approved etc

** Denotes parts that are not fitted but included

Car History

Vehicle was supplied by a reputable car yard in Japan in July 2004. Car arrived in Australia in August 2004 and was complied by C-Red Tuning and signed off by Phils Mechanical Service in WA. The whole import process was done by myself and all documentation is included with the car incl Japanese Rego Certs. Car was first registered in December 2004. Car has just had another 6 months rego paid til Dec 07.

Absolutely every performance modification has been performed in Australia by me. The vehicle arrived absolutely stock mechanically. The only modifications that have been done by someone other than me have been the exhaust and the current stainless intake pipe. The engine sounds beautiful, no abnormal head noises etc - always serviced every 5000km with Mobil S. The engine is in unbelievable condition for an engine of this age, a true testament to the RB. All the timing gear was done by me in October last year, using genuine Nissan aftermarket service parts (Pitwork).

Body Kit was sourced direct from FK in Japan by C-Red and fitted by AFM Enterprises and completed work in January 2006. The vehicle has never had a major accident, although the body was a bit rough when originally purchased hence the decision to really go all out on the body. Chassis was tidied up for compliance however only one minor incident since then which is negligible.

In October 2006 I undertook a major upgrade, I installed the HKS Turbo Kit, Xtreme Flywheel and Clutch Kit, Removed all the HICAS pumps and lines that went to the rear of the car, Installed the S14 Steering rack and Custom lines, Installed all the new Cooler piping and designed the entire turbo side of the car to suit the new Turbo. I replaced all the exhaust studs with brand new Nissan studs, using existing washers and new nuts. I also installed the Oil Catch Can, all Silicon Hosing and the Razor Engine grounding kit. Whilst this was going on I also took the gearbox apart to replace all the easy to reach bearings.

All servicing and suspension mods have all been done by me and is of the highest quality workmanship, with no corners cut or expense spared in getting it right the first time. I am very proud of how the car has come together but unfortunately the car has become impractical for me day to day as I do lug around a lot of gear for work, and Its too hard to drive because she just wants to get up and boogee ALL the time and I cant resist smashing the right foot down, which is bad for the ol MDL.

Car has been inspected twice in the past year, but really doesn't attract too much attention from the cops. 4 doors for the win. I have put prices next to things I can recall paying for but its safe to say its well up into the $20k + mark

I have taken the car to the track and done a fair amount of drifting and the car is definitely made for sliding. The car is extremely stable on the road with its big boots and having fully adjustable suspension means its highly tunable for street, track, drifting or both.

Aircon Compressor needs replacing as the clutch packed it in. Currently the belt has been taken off. Car sometimes wont start if the headlights have been on for about 5-10 minutes without the car running, you just have to turn the lights off and it goes straight away. I dare say the HID kit drains too much battery. Im fairly honest with the faults so Im not phased by sharing my "intimate" knowledge of this car.

Car will also still come with the TAKUSHI plates, as its Japanese for Taxi. Ideal plates in Japanese Green and White.

Car will be immaculately detailed both inside and out by a professional detailer upon deposit for the car.

You will also get ownership of my domain and Website - Sido-Takushi.com. A large 900mm long sticker with the web address is also included with the car - I havent gotten around to fitting it.

Any questions please feel free to ask!

well if i had sold my 32 an had th 13k i'd expect to get from it then yeah would have been interested but i doubt it would sell soon enough if advertised,

thers another ceffy im already lookin at from melb, lookin at a trade but i aint seen pics of it yet

ah thats a real kick in th teeth though that you come up with that idea hahaha

nice idea though mate

How much power is it making at what boost?

I don't know mate. I suspect there is potential for 320-350 horse. I am yet to do cams, inj and ecu... And already it looses traction in the dry by 4500 rpm in 1st with near new 265s on the back. Its a bit of a handful in 3rd, more so in the wet. - its scary to think of its potential!

Gate has a 1 bar spring in it atm but I have other springs to go with it.

    • Thanks everyone for the replies and suggestions. Got the seats out (hoping I could find some existing grommets but no such luck). By tapping and measuring etc. I could figure out where I could drill through if needed. But first I borrowed an inspection camera and managed to go through factory holes in the chassis rail and could see that the captive nut was holding steady which is why it could retighten. So it was indeed a stripped section of thread, so I applied downforce by levering the bolt head with a screwdriver and went slowly back and forth until it came out. Camera helped a lot cos I could monitor that the captive nut was holding tight. Now I just have one very seized main subframe nut to tackle 😅
    • BOVs do have a purpose, if you ever log pressure before and after the throttle body, you will see a spike pre throttle on lift off from a WOT condition. Enough to bend throttle blades / damage e-throttle motors or simple assist in blowing off cooler pipes. FWIW, the above on really applies to those running at least 2 bar of boost. OP shouldn't have an issue, on the other hand, here are some videos of my shit box over a decade ago with some succulent dose with the airbox on and off. That shit box is unrecognisable these days 🫠
    • I've tried all different combinations of BOVs/ no BOV and stock bypass valves over the years, on gear changes the stock bypass valve seems to get the car back on boost quicker because in part the turbos wheel speed isn't being slowed down by reversion, although they have issues holding boost much over the stock setting. Most aftermarket BOVs you can adjust the spring, tighter will make it open later and close sooner, but in my experience it'll cause a bit of flutter at low load/rpm anyway. I've also got some input into this whole no bov causing turbo wear, never had an issue on any on my turbos HOWEVER, I got my R33 GTST with 200k kms on it, with from what I can see still has the original turbo, no lateral shaft play but has about 4-5mm of play in and out which to me seems like a worn thrust bearing from years (100-150k kms?) of turbo flutter running no bov, so maybe there is some truth to it in the long run. But that'll never stop me loving the Stutututu while I have the car.   OP just wants to know if he can run a atmo vented BOV with no major issues and the answer is YES, plenty of people do it, there's no harm in installing it and seeing how it runs before spending $$$ on an aftermarket ecu, last time I bought a Nistune it was $2400 for install and a tune , unsure of todays prices but you get me. Crazy money to spend just to fix the minor inconvenience of stalling that can be overcome by letting the revs come down to near idle before putting the clutch in or a little bit of throttle to avoid it. You're better off leaving the ecu and tune for after a bigger turbo/injectors have been installed to take full advantage of the tune and get your moneys worth.   Let OP have his Whoosh sound without trying to break his bank haha
    • I see you missed the rest of the conversation where they have benefits, but nothing to do with avoiding breaking turbos, which is what the aftermarket BOV made all the fan boys, tuners, and modders believe was the only purpose for them...
    • But they do so for the other reasons to have a compressor bypass. It's in the name.
