This question may seem a little jewish, but here goes...

Are there any injectors that are standard equipment on another car that would work well as an upgrade for a mildly modded 33 GTS-T?

Further more, any truth to the rumour that XR6T injectors will work? I understand that the 33 has 'side-feed' units, am not sure what the XR has, but any input would be great. I am aiming loosly at around 250rwkW, not fussed, but dont want to starve things.

xr6T injectors are top feed, you can buy adaptor rails to run topfeed on rb25 but then you needa change injector plugs etc, or you could try source 6 jdm s15 injectors which are around 480cc? correct me if im wroung that should supply that power level?

Thanks guys, :( I would never believed that the squirters on a 2ltr 4-pot are that big! What would you expect to pay for these?

And do you know of anyone who has run them before? I'd be keen to know their limits, naturally, without finding out the hard way!

Yeah ask me !

Haha.

I would rate them at 450cc.

Getting tuned tomorrow hopefully (take 2 with a REAL AFM) with a HKS2535 and all supporting mods.

Supprised by the size of the injectors hey?

Wellllll.....

2.5 / 6 (cylinders) = 416cc per cylinder

2.0 / 4 (cylinders) = 500cc per cylinder

Not so confusing now is it ? :w00t:

Yeah, so easy swap out .....(DIY available in the appropriate sub-section)

And heaps of info .... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...146846&st=0

Cheers mate...still thinking i might go the top feed 660cc siemens that ive been looking at as im probly gonna be chasing around 300rwkw eventually.

problem is my stock injectors are nearly maxing out at .8bar on the stock turbo.

hopefully an 040 pump will fix that.

hey mate, why dont you just go for drop in side feed injectors instead of top feed, such as tomei or nismo 740 cc injectors. Slide has them for $895 delivered. do you know what duty cycle your injectors are running. id say get a fuel reg as well if you want a quick fix solution to your injectors maxing out

I got one set from Slide Imports, brand new with a GTR R33 fuel pump for about $300

But thats for brand newies with all the rubber thingos to go with, see pics in the s15 thread i posted earlier.

2nd set from a written off S15 in Aus.

$250 delivered for 4 out of a 2002 model.

You should be able to pick up 2 sets for about $400-$450 and then try selling 2 like me and come out about $300 out of pocket which aint too bad

forget any other model eg. s12/13/14, no good to you if they are standard injectors,

s15 manual ones are the only 450-480cc injectors.

    • All I can say Duncan is good luck and I hope that Neil did not run any E85 in Cheryl. I have recently experienced the full spectrum of fuel tank issues in my R33's that had been caused by E85 and contaminated fuel. When you take the cover off the top of the tank and have a look inside you will get an understanding of how easy it will be. Best case situation is clean fuel with minimal contamination. My GTR was like this and it was a very simple operation to just grab the fuel pump carrier bracket and slide it up and out of the tank. My three GTS_T's had different levels of fuel contamination that was probably caused by E85 in the fuel.  In the worst case all of the metal components in the tank had rusted to the point where there were pieces of rusted metal swirling around in the tank. This required the removal of the exhaust, the tailshaft, the complete rear cradle and the fuel tank. The components in the tank were that rusted that it took days to get the fuel pump carrier and the mounting brackets out of the tank. When the tank was finally cleaned, everything inside the tank had to be replaced. With the tank all back together I could then reinstall it in the car along with everything else that had to come out. Good luck and I hope that you find a clean tank.
    • It is a two door. It is black and also still has the OEM wheels and stereo. Exact model would be KR_R32RGFEL_SS According to GTR-Registry.com is a 2 Door Coupe; RB20DE; 2WD no HICAS; MT.F5; (11L) Projector Headlamps and Fog Lights; (12_) Electronic Active Full Auto Air Con (Climate Control); (13-14SS) V Selection -- Which seems to be accurate description of my variant. Will try to upload a few pictures soon. The OEM wheels look like the below image. Image is taken from the goo-net-exchange website.

    • Welcome Gabriel. At least your car has a glorious RB and not the shitty CA18. As MBS206 mentioned all the good bits can be added later. Two doors or four?
    • And half of them have been converted to turbos.
