A simple threat does not always do that much and will probably piss the manager off even more. Simply talking to the business owner rationally would be the most effective first option as was discovered in this thread :)

Of course going down the Consumer Affairs route is a last resort. But if you were unfairly treated by a business and the company wants nothing to do with you, then you are within your rights to call Consumer Affairs to resolve this. In this case, Tint Professor want nothing to do with him at this stage.
