hey guys, i have to replace my fuel filter, but was wodering if its a good idea to wait till my fuel is nearly on Empty, or close to it, so i dont waste heaps of petrol in the process....since its full right now(i dont like wasting gas hahaha)

How much fuel will drain?, itll either be me doing it tommorow, or next week same time, as i wont have much fuel left by then....also, will the fuel spill alot, should i be careful doing this?, its my first time,

thanks!

hi mate i did mine last week...

you wont loose much fuel only whats in your lines... just undo your fuel cap to relieve pressure, you might need to by some hosing too, i found my lines were stuck to my filter and brittle... 5/16 or 7.9mm hose will replace old hose, which i bought at super cheap, 2 clamps were about $3 as the stock clamps arnt very good. any questions please ask...

if you want coloured hose grommet, will cost about $13

normal about $7 a meter

also buying a filter (they will tell you there a 3 compatible matches) your best to get the z200 (repco part number) fuel filter the ones they use in commodores because they are cheaper than buying the skyline ones that you pay more because they have an angle....

or how bout remove the fuse from the fuel pump start it up let it die, and den open fuel cap to relieve pressure, then remove the filter much easier but at the end of the day your still going to lose a little bit of fuel, its part of the job. cheers
