Best place to start looking for help is doing a search in the DIY section - there's almost always someone who's previously come across the same problems as you.

Check fuses under your drivers side kick panel and also in the engine bay for any blown fuses. Passenger Fuse Box Diagram - thx PaulR33

But generally you can see if the bulb is blown or not by looking through the headlight to see if the filament is broken or not.

To take out: (memory is a bit scratchy but I think this is how you take em out)

Expose the black plastic protecting the bulb cover.

Twist the plastic round cap I think anti-clockwise.

Unhook the metal clipping (Take note of how it is clipped so you know how to put it back on).

Untwist the bulb and Take out the blown H1 bulb. Unclip it from the electric wire prong.

Get some new H1 bulbs. Carefully clip back the electric wire prong. Carefully place the bulb back into the hole not touching the glass if possible. Do everything in reverse as above.

Helps to have small hands.
