haha yeh i remember back in the day when you could change that number and get free sms, and i remember when years ago when you had credit it used to take ages for them to take it off of you, used to be over a day sometimes, before they cracked down on there times of takin your credit off you could get to your last 30 cents or something and then send a million messages and it would all be free because the next day it wuold take off the credit and only go to 0cents.

they will back bill it - theres no way a carrier provides free sms

My carrier in the UK back in 2001 provided free SMS, Genie Mobile who were a spin off from BT, the main Telco over there. I sent in excess of 25,000 free texts during my time with them and how do I know that, because a large part were to my g/f over here who had to pay for her replies! It was supposed to be free only in the UK but worked to Australia which was fine with me.

I now hate sending texts so seldom do an usually call instead but have had a work phone for all my time in Oz up until Feb time this year.
