test driving??? opinions please

i would never buy a car that i couldnt test drive first.

i test drove mine before i bought it and it wasnt insured at the time. Mine came straight from japan. the importers were nice enough leting me do so

the way i meant it was my car is not insured at all even for me.... and i dont expect anyone to buy the car without driving(although the last car i sold the guy diddnt drive) i just gave en example like if they handed over a deposit then they can drive all they like etc just wondered what you guys thought if u were in a similar situation thats all......

take their key's and credit card's .....

Genuine buyer's of car's usually look over the whole car inside and out.... ask to hear it running, ask a million questions about everything... then ask for a ride or a test drive.

Personally i would not buy a car (In Aus) that i could not test drive... I know i can pick up a lot about a car from a drive up the road round the corner and over a few bump's. If i wanted to buy.... The a run in a 100kph would be a definate.....

Life is about risk's and if you dont take a few here and there you won't achieve anything......
