check the vacuum hose connected to it. the standard gauge has a crappy vacuum hose which gets very brittle when exposed to heat for a long time.

if its an aftermarket gauge then check that the vacuum hose is still connected or hasnt warped somewhere along the line.

if it checks out ok then blow out the hose fitting with a blower vac and try again.

if it doesnt move the needle then its time for a new one.

Sometimes you can pull them apart and reseat the gears but it will probably play up again in time.

I had a similar problem and did mine and its still going OK after a few months.

nothin wrong with tryin to save a few bucks hot shot..... and ahhh... yeah just fixed it actually..

Well can you please enlighten us with what was wrong?

I'm interested, i think it was probably that the gauge's 12V or earth wires were not connected properly.

umm... it was just the vac line that wasnt connected right.. there was a brass t-fitting that had been removed and just had the lines dangling.. so just traced them around to find it... then just pulled the guage apart and played with gears in it... and then when i recconected it and so it was back to zero and workin fine... soo yerr.. thanks for the help guys
